I'm taking the Hobart City Council to Tribunal for discrimination.
Like many million other people, I know that humans cannot change sex. I also know that women need an deserve female-only sports and some spaces for safety, fairness, privacy and dignity reasons.
I hold what are becoming known as 'gender-critical' political beliefs.
Since I have been on the Hobart City Council, I have been publicly shamed and harassed for my gender-critical political beliefs. I have been bullied because of my political beliefs, including through highly public Motions that call for me to be 'investigated' on the basis of my gender-critical political beliefs and related political activity.
Discrimination on the basis of political belief is illegal in Australia.
There are several successful cases of discrimination and harrassment coming out of the UK where it has been held that women with gender-critical political beliefs have been discriminated against and harrassed, usually in the workplace because of their beliefs.
I'm up against a very well-funded Council. Any donations to help pay my own legal experts would be greatly appreciated.

Gender-critical political beliefs typically include the belief that:

sex is biological and immutable, and people cannot change their sex

sex and gender identity are entirely different things and that there are occasions when biological sex is more important than gender identity, particularly where women are vulnerable to male violence and/or have been subjected to male violence

gender identity should not be prioritised over biological sex

women are adult human females and that girls are minor human females

that the male population’s patterns of behaviour, such as criminality and rates of sexual and violent crime, remain regardless of the male population’s gender-identity

there are valid and legitimate needs for female-only single-sex sports

there are valid and legitimate needs for some female-only spaces and services, such as female-only change rooms, showers, toilets, prisons, shelters, rape crisis centres and

there are valid and legitimate needs women to require some services to be performed by a woman (adult human female) such as intimate health care and for providing care for women with disabilities.
